Advanced Travel Center (Truckstop) Electrification (ATE) for Reducing Idling from Heavy-Duty Vehicles Along an Interstate Corridor in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina

This STAC demonstration project enabled the successful installation of 150 Advance Travel Center Electrification units at three locations along the I-85 corridor in South Carolina. As of March 2006, this project has resulted in the elimination of 3,200 metric tons of harmful pollutants, while saving over 300,000 gallons of diesel fuel.
